Abstract: | Climate change influences the severity of disasters. In Thailand, thunderstorms and hailstorms emerge from February to May, destroying property and agricultural products. Statistics from 2019 to 2024 demonstrated that hailstorms in Thailand mostly happened during the daylight. Therefore, the Department of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation (DRRAA) has attempted to suppress hailstorms in Thailand by using meteorological knowledge, training aircraft for hail suppression operations in risk areas, and precautioning the public and relevant agencies to lessen the severity of disasters by hailstorms. |
