Dr. Roelof Bruintjes / Scientist at NCAR and CO-Pi of UAEREP’s 2nd Cycle Awardee

Dr. Roelof is Project Scientist III at the Research Applications Program at the Mesoscale Meteorology Division of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado, USA. In his role, he heads projects related to radar meteorology, water resources, nowcasting and weather modification programs, precipitation physics and effects of climate change on precipitation and aerosol-cloud interactions.

Dr. Bruintjes earned his master’s degree in meteorology from University of Pretoria, South Africa, followed by a PhD in physics from the University of South Africa.”
