Dr. Edward Graham / Lecturer and Meteorologist, Lews Castle College, University of the Highlands and Islands, UK

Dr. Edward (Eddy) Graham is an award winning and renowned lecturer and communicator based at the University of the Highlands and Islands, Stornoway, Scotland. Formerly an operational meteorologist, he is well-known today on social media, regularly tweeting and re-tweeting weather topics (@eddy_weather). Dr. Graham presently teaches across a wide portfolio of modules in Science, Technology and the Environment, with advanced knowledge in particular of climate reanalyses, clouds, water vapour and precipitation. Since 2019, he is Editor-in-Chief of the Royal Meteorological Society’s principal journal, Weather. Over the years, Dr. Graham has worked on international met-related projects in Canada, Chile, Switzerland, Kenya, the UK, and he is a visiting scientist at the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands. Dr. Graham also runs the met & climate consultancy ‘Eddy Weather’, specialising in WRF met modelling, Kalman Filtering, climate data analyses,  reanalyses & interpretation, as well as in press & media communication.
